grandpa and jack

Jack and I (Cheryl) had an opportunity to visit Ken (my dad) again at the rehabilitation unit last weekend where he is still recovering from lower left leg amputation. His recovery has been slow but he is on the mend! Dad is very conscientious about the unit; he's tidy, organized and creates as little work for the nurses as possible. During our visit we left a number of mugs in one common room and he was worried we were breaking some sort of rule. I promptly informed him how much MSP was paying this facility to have him there and that I was fairly confident housekeeping would be compensated. The nurses seem to love him. If anyone is planning a visit, he would love a Tim Horton's double-double or a home-cooked meal; 2 months of hospital food is rough!!
